Momentum Media's brand, The Adviser has announced a total of 22 Queensland-based winners have been announced for the annual Better Business Awards.
For over a decade, the awards have lauded the cream of the crop in each state and territory and are coveted by Australia’s brokers, networks, innovators, leaders, and aggregators.
Queensland-based mortgage and finance broking professionals gathered on Thursday, 12 March 2026 at the Sofitel Brisbane for the 13th annual Better Business Awards 2026.
A total of 22 winners were announced, including the recipient of the coveted Broker of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards.
Run in partnership with principal partner National Australia Bank (NAB), the Better Business Awards program celebrates excellence in the mortgage and finance industry, showcasing professionals and businesses that have made significant contributions over the past year.
Almost 150 finalists across Queensland battled it out for trophies across individual and group categories, with the highest-scoring individual winner being crowned the coveted Broker of the Year award.
The range of winners spans brokers, brokerages, loan administrators, business development managers (BDM), large and boutique franchise and non-franchise offices, as well as industry thought leaders and mentors.
Who were the winners?
Mark Davis of The Australian Lending & Investment Centre was awarded Broker of the Year, having also walked away with the Best Residential Broker award earlier in the night.
Kit Johnson of Aussie Forest Lake was crowned Editor’s Choice.
Other individual winners included Estelle Dejean of FINANS Brokers as New Broker of the Year, Kelly Tietjen of NAB as Best Lender BDM (Bank), Stuart Ronneberg of Money Quest Group Australia as Best Aggregator BDM, and more.
Some of the group winners included Mason Finance Group as Best Regional Office, STAC Capital as Best Finance Brokerage (Office), and Loanright Financial Services as Best Community Engagement Program.
Australian journalist, satirist and television presenter, Mark Humphries, performed emcee duties, providing light and laughter throughout the evening.
