Sterling leads the pack for business media

Sterling Publishing has been announced as the leading business media publisher shortlisted for this year’s Publish Awards.

More than 270 entries were submitted to the 2015 Publish Awards, with an expert panel of judges from across the publishing industry scrutinising all entries and shortlisting Sterling Publishing across six categories.

The Adviser’s Better Business Summit is a finalist for Event of the Year (Business); Risk Adviser’s Scott Hodder for Journalist of the Year (Business); Lawyers Weekly magazine for Launch/Re-launch of the Year; ifa (Independent Financial Adviser) for Magazine Cover of the Year (Business); theadviser.com.au for Website of the Year (Business); and Sterling Publishing is in the running for Business Publishing Company of the Year – a title it hopes to retain from last year’s awards.

Organised by Mumbrella in association with Publishers Australia, the Publish Awards recognises the best in print and digital publishing across Australia, and have been running for 18 years.

According to Alex Whitlock, group publisher of Sterling Publishing, the company’s successes are a reflection of its focus on building engaging, multi-platform publications that cater to fast-evolving reader preferences.

“The calibre of finalists at the Publish Awards is outstanding, so it’s an honour to be shortlisted for the awards and a great achievement for the whole team at Sterling,” he said. “We’re looking forward to joining some of the biggest and most successful titles in Australia to celebrate the best of Australian publishing.”

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at Sydney’s Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf on 21 October 2015.
