Finalists for 2021 Corporate Counsel Awards announced

Lawyers Weekly and principal partner LOD are delighted to reveal the finalists for this year’s Corporate Counsel Awards.

This year's event will be both live-streamed and in-person in a hybrid format.

The fifth annual Corporate Counsel Awards is fast approaching! This annual awards program bestows prestige and industry recognition upon top-performing in-house legal professionals at a national level.

This year, the event will be held on 17 June at The Star in Sydney. It will also be live-streamed, so that those unable to attend in-person can still partake in a black-tie evening from the comfort of living rooms or offices!

Speaking ahead of the awards, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy said that the Lawyers Weekly team and LOD are hugely excited to host an in-person awards night again, following last year’s virtual proceedings.

“Despite the enormous success of the 2020 Corporate Counsel Awards, for which our events department pulled off an extraordinary live broadcast, it is very pleasing to be able to celebrate with finalists and winners in-person again,” he said.

“Congratulations to all the finalists, both individuals and teams. To have been shortlisted for these awards after such a trying year is no small feat. We look forward to acknowledging your many achievements and raising a glass to you all.”

Principal partner, LOD, is proud to present awards for the following categories: Financial Services Lawyer of the Year, Insurance Lawyer of the Year, Financial Services Team of the Year, Construction and Real Estate Team of the Year, FMCG Team of the Year, and Technology, Media and Telecommunications Team of the Year.

The awards program will follow the third annual Corporate Counsel Summit, also being held at The Star on 17 June.

For the first time, the Corporate Counsel Summit will be a hybrid event, bringing together both a live and virtual audience. In-person ticket numbers are limited in line with COVID restrictions, so for those hoping to attend at the venue, you will need to move quickly – with a ticket allocation created on a first-come, first-served basis.
