Lawyers Weekly, in partnership with LOD, is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Corporate Counsel Awards.
This year’s event paid special recognition to those professionals and teams that have excelled despite the COVID-19 pandemic
This year’s Corporate Counsel Awards was held as a live-streamed event, broadcast from Sydney on Thursday, 5 November 2020.
The event, which marked Lawyers Weekly’s fourth annual awards night celebrating in-house counsel, recognised the achievements of corporate counsel across the country, with both legal departments and individual practitioners, junior and senior, being acknowledged for their exemplary work in what has been an extraordinary past 12 months.
Twenty-nine winners were named at the 2020 Corporate Counsel Awards (eight team awards and 21 individual awards), with recipients Zooming in over the broadcast platform to share a short speech on their success.
“The Corporate Counsel Awards was first launched four years ago as a way to shine a well-deserved spotlight on in-house counsel across Australia,” said editor Emma Ryan.
“In 2020 this event becomes that much more important, paying tribute to those who have gone the extra mile despite the challenging headwinds that have been thrust upon us off-the-back of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“On behalf of the team, I’d like to extend my congratulations to all of the finalists and winners of the 2020 Corporate Counsel Awards. I’d also like to thank our partners LOD, Orbit Legal, G2 Legal and Proximity, as well as our judges who had a strong hand in the delivery of this year’s event.”
