For a quarter of a century, Momentum Media’s Australian Law Awards has been the foremost recognition and celebration of success across the legal profession.
The Australian Law Awards are back for 2026 and once again bringing an unparalleled awards program that identifies professionals and firms across the nation.
Run in partnership with principal partner LawUno, this unparalleled awards program is back to identify the top-performing legal professionals and firms nationwide.
The awards recognise academics, company secretaries, dealmakers, indigenous leaders, partners, litigators, senior associates, sole practitioners, and rising stars across the individual categories. Elsewhere, group categories acknowledge banking and finance teams, boutique law firms, legal operations and support professionals, new law firms, as well as regional/suburban law firms.
Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by 8 May for a chance to be recognised.
There are a total of 36 categories on offer, including 22 individual and 14 group categories.
The awards will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 30 July 2026, at The Star, Sydney.
Jessal Shah, CEO and founder of LawUno, said they were proud to be the principal partner for “one of the most recognised platforms celebrating excellence across the legal profession”.
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to recognising achievement, supporting talent, and strengthening the legal community across Australia,” Shah said.
“At LawUno, our focus has always been on building stronger connections within the profession, creating a space where law students, lawyers, firms, and legal professionals can engage more meaningfully, access the right opportunities, and grow their careers.
“The Australian Law Awards brings together the very best of the industry. Being part of this platform allows LawUno to further support and celebrate the people shaping the future of law, while continuing to build a more connected and collaborative profession.
“As LawUno continues to grow, this partnership represents an important step in aligning with institutions and initiatives that share the same vision, elevating the legal industry through connection, recognition, and opportunity.
“One connection. Every opportunity.”
The ceremony will present a rare opportunity for legal professionals to network with profession leaders while celebrating the achievements of their colleagues and peers.
Submissions will be assessed by a judging panel, including academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
