New ranking to reveal industry’s unsung heroes

Launching today, REB’s Top 50 Women in Real Estate ranking, partnered by Christina Guidotti, will highlight and celebrate the industry’s ground-breaking females.

Submissions for the new ranking open today and will recognise the increasing number of women settling record numbers in real estate, based on residential sales for the 2015 calendar year.

Christina Guidotti, partner of the Top 50 Women in Real Estate ranking and founder of Leading Women, said too often women’s achievements are overlooked or underrepresented.

“One of the fallacies I hear too often is that women don’t want to speak [at industry events and conferences] and this is absolutely not true,” she told REB. “There is no shortage of women who want to share their story.”

Ms Guidotti said rankings such as the Top 50 Women in Real Estate are important because they highlight long-term success and reward those who have put in the hard yards – while providing a “safe space” for women to celebrate their achievements.

“Successful people make it look easy and we often don’t realise what has gone on before, what they’ve juggled and the challenges they’ve had," she said.

“This ranking is an opportunity to recognise the top 50 women in real estate but also for everyone in the industry to get inspired and learn what it takes to be at the top. So we’re honouring them but also helping others to see what it takes to be the best in the industry.”

Ms Guidotti added that regardless of gender, there are three things agents need for success: belief, conviction and commitment.

The benchmark ranking is now open for submissions and the survey must be completed by 20 June.
