Momentum Media launches Corporate Counsel Awards 2022

Momentum Media and Lawyers Weekly, along with principal partner LOD, are proud to announce the launch of the awards, to be held on 5 May.

The Corporate Counsel Awards is back for 2022 and is once again bringing you an unparalleled awards program that recognises excellence for top-performing in-house legal professionals at a national level.

The sixth annual Corporate Counsel Awards will celebrate the achievements of Australia’s top-performing in-house professionals at a national level, including GCs/CLOs, legal counsel, company secretaries, and law departments.

They also provide an opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the law department, individual professionals, and those influencing the profession and propelling the industry forward, and for winners to distinguish themselves in a competitive marketplace, and highlight individual and institutional experience.

This year, Momentum Media will host the gala black-tie ceremony at The Star in Sydney on 5 May 2022, providing the industry with a reason to celebrate and network with industry peers, family and friends, and let their hair down after a challenging year.

Speaking about the upcoming awards, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “Our sixth annual celebration of the in-house market is the biggest and best in the country. It is a true privilege for us to be able to acknowledge the outstanding work being put in by legal counsel and in-house professionals across the board.

“As Australia looks ahead to a post-pandemic market, it is paramount to take the time to recognise and celebrate what has been accomplished in such trying times. With this year’s awards program set to judge and reward work undertaken in the age of coronavirus, all nominees – whether they win or not – can be proud of their efforts this past year,” he added.

LOD managing director Paul Cowling said the company is pleased to be involved with the awards.

“This is the sixth year LOD has partnered with Lawyers Weekly to bring the Corporate Counsel Awards to the in-house community and we are excited to host this event again in 2022,” he said.

“Given the extraordinary challenges of the past two years, we really are delighted to bring in-house lawyers together to celebrate the achievements across the entire industry.”
