Partner of the Year 2022 finalists announced

Momentum Media’s law brand Lawyers Weekly and principal partner Commonwealth Bank of Australia are proud to reveal the finalists for the 2022 Partner of the Year Awards.

The Partner of the Year awards are regarded as one of the legal profession’s most prestigious accolades and pinpoint professional development and innovation, showcasing the individuals who are leading the way in the industry.

On Thursday, 28 July 2022, the legal industry will gather at The Star in Sydney to celebrate the achievements of the best and the brightest legal partners or partners equivalent across individual practice areas in the Australian legal profession.

This year, Momentum Media and Lawyers Weekly received over 400 submissions for the awards, with 262 finalists qualifying to battle it out for 33 awards on the awards night.

At the end of the ceremony, one person will be selected from all individual category winners as the recipient of the coveted Excellence Award.

The Partner of the Year awards program is highly regarded as one of the legal profession’s most prestigious accolades as it showcases the talent of individuals who have demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, mentorship, and business development skills, and have propelled the industry forward.

It acknowledges the hard work and dedication of specialists from corporate and criminal to family, and mergers and acquisitions.

It aims to strengthen the position of partners in their profession and their firms by elevating their personal brand and recognising their capabilities and passion for elevating the industry.

Speaking ahead of the awards, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy congratulated the finalists and commended them for compiling submissions that were of a high quality and standard.

He added that Momentum Media and Lawyers Weekly, together with its partners, are delighted to welcome all guests to the foremost annual awards night for Australia’s legal profession.

“The Partner of the Year Awards only gets bigger and better every year, and we can’t wait to once again host the best and brightest in Australia’s legal profession for this night of nights,” he said.

“That the Partner of the Year Awards program has been running for seven years speaks to the value of bringing together all partners of the legal profession to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work done by all, no matter who takes home trophies on the night. We cannot wait to see everyone there.”
